Activity Volunteers.Looking for an opportunity to gain skills and experience in The Adventure Activity Industry?
Then look no further, join us for the season and boost your employability by volunteering with us at The Horstead Centre where we have been delivering adventure activity education for over forty years. We can offer you front line experience with schools, youth, adult and church groups. We will train you to assist on sessions with a range of on-site land and water outdoor activities including:-Canoeing, Bushcraft, Climbing, Crate Stack, Archery, Problem Solving and many others. We are looking for responsible, hardworking, sociable individuals who enjoy working with others particularly school aged children and young adults. The volunteer position includes all aspects of activity residential centre work including hospitality, maintenance and housekeeping. An outdoor qualification would be an advantage as you would be able to help deliver a wider variety of activity sessions. As a volunteer you are provided with bed and board or a small subsistence allowance depending on travel arrangements and hours of volunteering.

Freelance Instructors
The Horstead Centre has been delivering outdoor education for over forty years to a variety of clients including school, youth, adult and church groups. The centre has a range of outdoor activities which run on site and on the nearby river Bure. The activities include Canoeing, Bushcraft, Climbing, Crate Stack, Archery, Problem Solving and many others. We are currently seeking freelance instructors who would be able to complement our existing staff in the busy seasons. The ideal candidates would have a relevant background in teaching young people and have a range of outdoor qualifications including CWA, SPA, GNAS archery leader, BCU UKCC Level one/two, RPIOL, APIOL and a minimum 8hr first aid qualification.
